Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple' for sale in a 14cm pot, is a very popular perennial, known for its attractive flowers and ease of cultivation. It usually grows up to 30-45 centimeters, dark green, oval and toothed leaves. The flowers are small, deep purple in color and grow in abundant terminal corymbs. Flowering is prolonged, often from early spring until the first autumn frosts. Verbena 'Homestead Purple' prefers sunny positions. It adapts well to a wide range of soil types, as long as it is well drained. Drought tolerant once well established, but benefits from regular watering during dry spells. It can be pruned to maintain a more compact shape and stimulate more abundant flowering. Verbena 'Homestead Purple' is often used for borders and flower beds due to its low growth and long flowering. It also does well in pots, making it a versatile choice for gardens and patios.
